Normal processing times for Chinese visas have resumed at the San Francisco Consulate. The SF consulate was previously experiencing long delays for visa application approvals and visa stamping.
For business visas, the consulate takes roughly 5 business days to approve the online applications. After the application is approved and the passport is submitted, the consulate will take an additional 3-4 business days to stamp the visa in the passport.
We still recommend applying in advance if possible.
